Position: Senior Accountant

Participate in the company's periodic financial accounting consolidation. Review and analyze financial data from operating divisions. Perform detailed account analysis to determine compliance with GAAP. Prepare period-by-period analysis of consolidated balance sheet and income statement variances. Assist in the development of accounting policies. Assist in various accounting and ad hoc projects.

  • 3+ years combination of Public Accounting and private industry experience is preferred but will also consider straight private industry background; large, public company experience is strongly preferred
  • CPA or ability to obtain CPA is preferred
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, SEC reporting, financial statement presentation and accounting theory

SALARY: $50 -$65K + Bonus (depending on experience)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Minimum of 3 years with a Big 5 or large local public acctg. firm + 1 to 2 years of Private Industry Experience
  • Knowledge of MS office (Excel, Access) and financial accounting software
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • SEC reporting experience preferred.

Job Description:

  • Oversee monthly reporting (including SEC)
    and financial statement preparation.
  • Perform consolidations.
  • Research technical issues
  • Supervise 1-2 staff.

SALARY: $60K -$70K

Position: Senior Accountant

Reports To: Corporate Account Supervisor / Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and control financial activity for multiple business units
  • Prepare department fluctuation reporting (Budget/actual/history) to management
  • Prepare monthly intercompany reconciliations
  • Financial reporting of ledger and data submission for company's consolidation
  • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations
    Perform cash reconciliations
  • Development (if needed) and preparation of special Corporate and Management reports, such as Trend Analysis, Contracts Analysis,
    Profit and Loss by business unit, etc.
  • Review accounts payable activity
  • Provide reporting support for various internal users

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Must be highly motivated, energetic and attentive to deadlines. Working closely with the Accounting Supervisor, Accounting department staff and the needs of both the internal and external clients we service. Must demonstrate strong organizational and leadership skills and the ability to effectively prioritize workload in order to meet our internal and corporate requirements. Possess the ability to communicate thoughts in a clear and concise manner and listen effectively, including asking questions so the discussion at hand is fully understood. Ability to quickly grasp the manner of tasks to be performed, to exercise creative problem solving abilities and recommend various solutions to expedite tasks.

The candidate should possess:
  • Degree in Accounting or related field
  • A minimum of 4 years GL accounting experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Word.
  • A working knowledge of GAAP

SALARY: $55 - $60K
